Kenneth Copeland — Sing To The LordPosted by admin on December 9th, 2009

1 Chronicles 16:20-27
KJV—When they went from nation to
nation, and from one kingdom to another
people; He [the Lord] suffered no man to
do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings
for their sakes, Saying, Touch not mine
anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
Sing unto the Lord, all the earth; show
forth from day to day his salvation. Declare
his glory among the heathen; his marvelous
works among all nations. For great is the
Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to
be feared above all gods. For all the gods of
the people are idols: but the Lord made the
heavens. Glory and honour are in his presence;
strength and gladness are in his place.
Amp—When they went from nation to nation,
and from kingdom to another people,
He allowed no man to do them wrong;
yes, He reproved kings for their sakes,
Saying, Touch not My anointed, and do My
prophets no harm.
Sing to the Lord, all the earth; show forth
from day to day His salvation. Declare His
glory among the nations, His marvelous
works among all peoples. For great is the
Lord and greatly to be praised; He also is
to be (reverently) feared above all so-called
gods. For all the gods of the people are
[lifeless] idols, but the Lord made the heavens.
Honor and majesty are [found] in His
presence; strength and joy are [found] in
His sanctuary.
Moffatt—Wandering from one nation to
another, and from realm to realm; but he
would not let a man oppress them, he
would punish kings on their account, saying,
“Never touch my chosen, my prophets
never harm.”
Sing, all the earth, to the Eternal, day
after day tell of his saving aid; let the heathen
hear his glory, let every nation know
the wonders he has done. For great is the
Eternal, loudly to be praised, and to be
feared above all gods; for all gods of the
nations are mere idols, but the Eternal made
the heavens; grandeur and majesty attend
him, splendour and joy are in his temple.
NIV—They wandered from nation to nation,
from one kingdom to another. He
allowed no man to oppress them; for their
sake he rebuked kings: “Do not touch my
anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.”
Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim
his salvation day after day. Declare his glory
among the nations, his marvelous deeds
among all peoples. For great is the Lord and
most worthy of praise; he is to be feared
above all gods. For all the gods of the nations
are idols, but the Lord made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before him;
strength and joy in his dwelling place.
